Women's Lacrosse drops home opener against Warner University
Laurinburg, N.C - The women's lacrosse team lost their home opener to the Warner Royals, 18-1, Friday night on the St. Andrews campus.
The Royals offense was too much for the Knights to handle as they came out aggressively, scoring four goals in the first quarter, followed by another six goals in the second. The Royals were anchored by Bailey Dykes four goals and Bailey Lightsey's three goals. The two teams entered the fourth quarter with the visiting team leading, 11-0.
The lone Knights goal came in the fourth quarter from Cecila Beal, assisted by Ariana Radno. Dykes and Lightsey added one more goal to their tally in the fourth quarter. The Royals took the victory, 18-0.
The Knights record falls to 0-2, 0-0, with the loss.
Their next matchup will be on Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. against Georgetown. It will be their first conference matchup.
