St. Andrews Edges Truett McConnell in Nail-Biter

St. Andrews (NC) secured a 55-53 victory over Truett McConnell in Cleveland, GA, on January 15, 2025. The Knights, now 8-10 overall and 4-7 in conference play, leaned on a strong team effort to edge past their opponents in a game that remained tight from start to finish. Londaisha Smith led the way with a dominant double-double, posting 16 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists, while AJ Price added 13 points and eight rebounds. St. Andrews excelled on the glass, out-rebounding Truett McConnell 42-30, including 15 offensive rebounds that proved crucial in the final moments.

Despite shooting just 33.9% from the field, the Knights made the most of their defensive intensity, forcing 15 turnovers and capitalizing on second-chance opportunities. After a back-and-forth battle through three quarters, St. Andrews held on with key defensive stops in the fourth to seal the win.
