St. Andrews Dominates Morris in High-Scoring Victory, 13–5

Laurinburg, NC – The St. Andrews Knights exploded out of the gate and never looked back in a commanding 13–5 win over Morris College on Tuesday.

The Knights set the tone early, with Cesar Morillo launching a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the first. Morillo continued to be a key contributor, later adding a sacrifice fly and bringing in another run after being hit by a pitch, finishing the day with 3 RBIs.

The offense didn't slow down. Jesse Osborne and Connor Dugan each with RBI singles, and the Knights capitalized on multiple passed balls and Morris miscues to build a quick 8–0 lead by the third inning.

Garrett Hamby and Caden Santucci added to the pressure on the basepaths—Hamby stole one base, while Santucci notched two stolen bases, keeping the Morris defense on edge all afternoon.

On the mound, Blane Wagner got the start and threw two solid innings, allowing just two hits and striking out two. Tanner Carpenter shut the door in the final two innings, allowing no hits and recording two strikeouts to preserve the victory.

The Knights will hit the road to face Johnson University for the 3 game series on Saturday and Sunday.
