Laurinburg, NC-- St. Andrews University Head Swim Coach Brooks Teal has announced the signing of Hunter Stankiewicz of Fayetteville, NC on Monday. He is set to join the Men's Swimming Team at St. Andrews University this fall.
Stankiewicz began competitive swimming at a young age with the Ft. Sam Houston Swim Club in Texas, where he competed at the regional and state level. After moving to North Carolina, Hunter continued his swimming with the Ft. Bragg Fighting Fish and represented Jack Britt High School.
Stankiewicz was the Cumberland County District Champion in the 500 Freestyle and placed second in the 200 Free his senior year. He also advanced to the NC High School Regionals in both his Junior and Senior years. Hunter was recognized for his positive attitude and strong work ethic with the 2014 Coach's Award for his Ft. Bragg team. Stankiewicz is a versatile athlete, playing high school varsity baseball in Texas before coming to North Carolina.

I am confident that with his desire and willingness to work, he will improve rapidly and ultimately help us climb the ladder at NAIA Nationals with scoring performances."
