Waleska, Ga.- 12th ranked Reinhardt University was able to rally back to steal game two away from the St. Andrews University softball team on Saturday afternoon to sweep the twin bill and win the conference title outright.

After RU showed their mettle in dominating game one en route to a 9-1 win, SAU came back strong in game two as they jumped out to a 7-1 lead on the Lady Eagles after two innings thanks to left fielder Mekayla Valentine (FR/Danville, VA)'s 5 RBIs and two hits and Mary Cross (JR/Middleburg, FL)' perfect day of 3 for 3 batting. Kelsey Lee (JR/Erwin, NC) and Kori Ballard (FR/Kersaw, SC) also knocked in runs with singles as well.

Unfortunately for St. Andrews, RU came back to score 5 runs in the 4th inning off starter Kimberly Cook (FR/Ocean Isle Beach, NC) to cut SAU's lead down to 7-6 before scoring three more the next inning off reliever Brittany Gunn (JR/Mountain Home, AR) to pull away for the stunning 10-7 win. With the wins, Reinhardt improves to 17-3 in the conference and 37-8 overall and clinches the regular season conference title and the automatic berth to Nationals. St. Andrews now falls to 16-23 overall and 9-9 in the league, good for 6th place with one more conference series to go.

The Lady Knights will now finish their season with an exhibition vs. Louisburg JC on Wednesday at home before hosting Bryan College (23-18) on Saturday at 1 pm.
