Lebanon, TN- The St. Andrews University wrestling team dropped their second consecutive dual to a ranked conference foe on Sunday morning as they fell 34-12 to #8 Cumberland University on the road in Tennessee.

Undefeated senior 125 pounder Chauncey Foster got St. Andrews off to a good start as he pinned his opponent giving the Knights the 6-0 edge. Redshirt freshman Dashon Eure would then extend the lead to 12-0 as he won via forfeit at 133 lbs.

After freshman Tyran Taylor and junior Kody Getkin would fall by decision in the next two matches, the wheels would begin to come off as freshman Brandon Eldridge would lose by fall at 157 lbs. before fellow freshman Jemson Villard lost at 165 lbs. After two more SAU losses, sophomore Jared Key would lose by a close decision 11-8 at 197 lbs. while junior heavyweight Denzel Vaughan dropped a tight battle 5-4.

Cumberland improves to 9-6 with the win while the Knights fall to 2-4. St. Andrews will next continue their road trip when they travel to West Virginia to face conference foe West Virginia Tech (9-3) at 3 pm on Friday.
