Kingsport, TN- With their AAC Tournament quarterfinal loss to #1 seed Bryan College on Thursday morning, the St. Andrews University volleyball team's season has come to an end but not without some great achievements.

Bryan (31-3) ousted the eighth seeded Lady Knights in 3 sets, 25-16, 27-25, and 25-13 to advance to the semifinals where they will play Reinhardt University Friday morning at the MeadowView Mariott Convention Center.

The Lady Knights (13-21) saw themselves leading Bryan for the first time all season 24-22 near the end of the second set and even got it to 25-24. However, they could not quite pull out the upset win as Bryan showed why they are the best in the league.

Freshman outside hitter Nora Darrhar (Rabat, Morocco) led the Knights with 8 kills on 17 attempts while All-Conference second team member, senior Kendelyn Wheaton (Arlington, TX), had 5 kills and 3 blocks. Setter Alexis Cordova (Glendale, AZ) led with 14 assists while senior libero Ayanna Lindborg (Waianae, HI) had 20 digs.

Wheaton ends the year with 303 kills while Lindborg finished with 409 digs and Cordova with 517 assists.

Bryan was led by Carolyn Evans' 12 kills and setter of the year Taylor Fink's 27 assists.

With the 2013 season complete, head coach Holly Mandeville is very proud of her girls as they have now increased their win total each year from 2 wins back in 2011 to 8 last season and now 13 this season. They have also recorded their most wins in a season since the 2008 team also had 13.
