The St. Andrews University Men's soccer team continues to reap the benefits of their big upset win in the conference quarterfinals as two of their players were annoucend yesterday as the Appalachian Athletic Conference players of the week for the week from Nov. 5-10.

Junior forward Caio Lima was chosen as the offensive player of the week for his PK regulation goal in the win over Reinhardt and his goal in the upset win over Tennessee Wesleyan. Lima also scored a PK goal in the shootout vs. Reinhardt as well. He is now second on the team with 10 goals on the year.

Freshman goalkeeper Leandro Custodio was then awarded the defensive player of the week for his outstanding goaltending in the two tournament wins. First against Reinhardt, Custodio held the Eagles to just two goals all game and then saved 3 shots out of 5 to help the Knights win the PK shootout 4-2. He also did not allow any goals in the 2-1 win aginst TWC as the only goal scored by the Bulldogs was when Custodio was hurt and out of the game. Custodio now has 98 saves on the year.

Both of the Knights will look to help lead their team to a conference tournament championship when they play Virginia Intermont in Thursday evening's semifinals at 4 pm in Dayton, TN.
