The St. Andrews University Men's Basketball program has added two in-state student-athletes to its roster. Kris Sherrod is a 5-10, 160 lb. combo guard from Leesville Road High School in Raleigh, NC. Academically, Kris maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school and was a member of his school's National Honor Society. His senior year he started numerous games as well as being the team's sixth man. Sherrod managed to be one of the team leaders in steals and assists. He helped lead his team to a record of 19-9 and a state championship run.
Head Coach Andrew Brown added that "Kris is great addition to the program. He will have the opportunity to compete for playing time right away. His defensive abilities will definitely be an asset to our team this year."
Nathaniel Pittman is a 6'5 wing from Nash Central High in Rocky Mount, NC. Nathaniel graduated high school with a 3.6 overall G.P.A and avg 15.8 points 5.2 rebounds and 4 assists per game.
Coach Brown stated that "Nate has a good feel for the game on the offensive end. He is a student-athlete that has a lot of potential as a basketball playe. As a staff, we are eager to assist him in the continual development of his perimeter skills." Pittman was a three-year starter for Nash Central while earning Big East All-Conference, NCBCA All-District, and Rocky Mount Telegram All-Area.
