Laurinburg, NC-- The St. Andrews Men's Lacrosse team put on a scoring display Saturday afternoon at Knights Field as they rolled over first-year AAC program Point University 24-0.

With the impressive conference win, St. Andrews now improves to 4-1 on the season while Point falls to 0-3.

SAU received goals from just about everyone on the team today as SAU's depth and experience was just too much for the startup Point program to overcome.

Knights freshman goalkeeper Xavier Guerrero also played an excellent game as he did not give up any goals in recording his first career shutout.

SAU was able to outshoot the Skyhawks 38-3 on the day as well.

Freshmen Jake Brown, Connor Cather, and Hevin Jackson led the Knights today with 3 goals apiece while freshmen attackmen Jason Wilson, Aaron Smith, Matt Benedict, and Matthew Meeks each had 2 apiece. Cather also led with 2 assists while freshman defender Kekoa Naipo collected 11 ground balls to lead the team.

Senior Dalton Steed also played well as he had a goal, an assist and 5 ground balls. Freshman Randy Loving  was able to win 18 of 20 face offs as well.

A total of 14 different players scored goals for SAU in the blowout win as the Knights will now be off for 2 weeks until traveling to Ohio to battle John Carroll University at 6:30 pm on March 15.
