Rocky Mount, NC- The St. Andrews University women's lacrosse team continues to roll over their opponents as they demolished N.C. Wesleyan in Rocky Mount today 21-4 to complete back-to-back road blowouts this week.
The Lady Knights thoroughly dominated their opponents today as they led 17-1 at halftime with senior Shana Schroeder again leading with 5 goals while junior Catherine Lovallo had 4. Senior Megan Jolly led with 7 assists and added 3 goals as she ended her day with 10 points.
Schroeder leads the team with 10 goals for the season while Jolly leads in assists with 8.
SAU got off to a 13-0 lead before the Battling Bishops could even get on the board.
Also scoring for the Knights was senior Victoria Bickett who scored 3 goals, junior Jackie Jones who had two and four others who each scored one goal. Juniors Shiloh Kozlowski and Ariana Vicari and freshman Anastasia Schultz all scored their first goals of the season.
SAU outshot NCWC 27-9 in the first half and 36-11 overall while also recording 24 ground balls. The Knights also only committed 13 turnovers whereas the Bishops committed 23. St. Andrews won 11 of 17 draw controls in the first half as well.
The Knights will complete their season-opening road trip when they make the short trek to Fayetteville, NC on Wednesday to battle NCAA member Methodist College at 3 pm.
The Lady Knights then return home for their home opener on Saturday March 2 when they host NWLL member #5 Tennessee Wesleyan College (1-1) at 1 pm.
