PLEASANT GARDEN, NC- The St. Andrews University Men's & Women's cross country teams competed in the Greensboro XC Invitational at Hagan Stone Park on Saturday afternoon and came away with some quality individual finishes.

Neither team registered a team score in the meet while the Winston-Salem St. women won the Div. II meet. The NC A&T men each won the men and women's Div. I meet while the St. Augustine's men won the D-2 meet.

Senior Hannah Biddle (SR/Blue Bell, PA) led the Lady Knights with an 8th place 5K Div. II finish in 22:06. Junior Nina Havelka (JR/Charlotte, NC) was then 2nd on the team and in 19th place in Div. II in 25:30.

Leading the St. Andrews men and coming in 1st among Div. II schools and 5th in Div. III was junior Eduardo Andrade (JR/Mount Holly, NC) in 29:30 as he was just three minutes off the top D-1 times.

Freshman Austin Hunt (FR/Fairmont, NC) came in 5th place among D-2 schools (14th among D-2 and 3) with a time of 30:53 to set his season-best time. Senior Franco Portillo (SR/Menifee, CA) then came in 13th in D-2 in 33:21.

The Cross Country teams will next be competing on Saturday at 9:30 AM at the Koala Classic at Columbia College in South Carolina.
