LAURINBURG, N.C. - The St. Andrews University women's soccer team fell 2-0 at home to AAC rival Reinhardt University (Ga.) on Sunday afternoon.

Reinhardt missed a chance to strike first early in the first half as their shot hit the crossbar. However, they eventually got on the board in the 60th minute off a corner kick before adding an insurance goal in the 70th minute to take it 2-0.

Junior forward Madi Castro (JR/Hope Mills, NC) led the Knights with two shots while fellow junior midfielders Liz Garner (JR/Huntingtown, MD) and Talia Swartbooi (JR/Johannesburg, South Africa) attempted one shot on goal apiece. Senior Arianna Brown (SR/Freeport, Bahamas) also had a quality chance to get the Knights on the board first in the first half but her shot was saved by the RU keeper.

Senior goalkeeper Rachel Widdicks (SR/Hull, England) made an impressive nine saves on 13 shots on goal while the team made the other two saves. Widdicks is now averaging 6.6 saves/game (2nd in AAC) with 33 saves to rank 6th in the AAC and a 64.7 save percentage.

St. Andrews falls to 0-5 and 0-2 in the AAC while Reinhardt improves to 2-5-2 and 1-1-1 in conference.

St. Andrews will remain home to host Columbia College (SC) (1-4-2) on Tuesday at 5:00 PM.
