HIGH POINT, NC- The St. Andrews men's soccer team edged NCCAA foe John Wesley University 4-3 on the road Saturday to pick up their first win of the season.

Scoring goals for the Knights were Ruben Vaca (SO/Santa Cruz, Bolivia), senior Manu Escalera (SR/Valencia, Spain), and junior Guilherme Soares (SR/Rio de Janiero, Brazil). Vaca scored the 1st and third goals for the Knights while he assisted on Escalera's goal as well for a big 5 point afternoon. Assisting on the goals were freshman Bliss Obodumu (FR/Havelock, NC), Adams Canales (SO/Beaulaville, NC) and Ricardo Da Silva (SR/Piracicaba, Brazil).

SAU went into the break with the Lions tied at one, but then outscored them 3-2 in the second half for the win.

SAU improves to 1-2 on the year while JWU falls to 1-3 overall.

St. Andrews will next be in action on Friday when they finally return home to host NAIA foe Brewton-Parker College in their home opener at 3:30 PM.
