ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Landon Kincaid (JR/Morganton, NC) of St. Andrews University was named as the Appalachian Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week award winner, the league announced Monday. This is the eighth edition of the weekly honors for the 2017 season. The next set of awards will be announced on May 1.

Kincaid helped lead the Knights to a series win over Milligan College on Saturday throwing a 9 inning complete game allowing just one run and 6 hits with a walk and 4 Ks. It was a career-high in innings pitched in a game and the season-high for any SAU pitcher this season.

Kincaid is currently 4-5 this season with a 7.63 ERA and 29 strikeouts over 43 innings.

SAU is now 23-28 on the year and 8-16 in AAC play and is looking to clinch a spot in the conference tournament with their last series of the season this week when they host Point University on Thur-Friday.

Recorded a 4-1, complete-game victory over Milligan.

Allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk in 9 innings pitched.

Struck out 4 in the win.

This is his first weekly honor this season.
