Atlanta, GA-- The Southeastern Lacrosse Conference released their preseason rankings recently and after the votes were tallied, The St. Andrews mens' lacrosse team was picked to finish a respectable 2nd in their region behind only Coastal Carolina, 13-25. This is after never playing a MCLA or SELC game in the school's history. The Knights were also chosen to finish in ninth place overall in the 19 team Division 2 conference.
St. Andrews begins their 2013 lacrosse season with an exhibition vs. Limestone's Developmental squad Feb. 10 before traveling to Savannah, GA Feb. 15 to battle SCAD Savannah.
The 2013 SELC season begins in late January and will conclude the weekend of April 26th – 28th with the SELC Championships in Johns Creek, Georgia. The SELC counts 41 member teams with 22 Division I and 19 Division II teams. At the conferences' Fall Meeting in Atlanta, George Washington University and Vanderbilt University were admitted to the Conference as Division I members for 2013. In Division II, St. Andrews University and Emmanuel College were admitted to membership.
