DAYTON, TN - The St. Andrews University women's basketball team scored their most points of any game this season while shooting 47.5 percent overall including a career game from freshman point guard LeeAysia Williamson (FR/Greensboro, NC), but it was not enough as the Knights fell 90-81 on the road to Bryan College (TN) on Saturday.

Both teams played a competitive first half with Bryan leading after one 21-17 before SAU stole the second quarter 20-18 and was down just 39-37 at halftime.  SAU shot 47 percent from the field in the first half to Bryan's 44 percent.

The second half then had Bryan exploding for 31 points in the third quarter to lead 70-55 after three. The Knights then continued their hot shooting in the fourth quarter shooting 48 percent and outscoring the Lions 26-20, but ended up falling by nine as Bryan's Amber Levi made an incredible 10 of 17 shots from three-point range to score 42 points herself.

Williamson led the Knights with 41 points to set a new career high and SAU NAIA record for most points and three-pointers in a game as she went 8 of 14 (57%) from behind the arc.

Williamson also led the team with six assists to go along with three steals. Freshman guard Victoria Washington (FR/Fredericksburg, VA) then contributed 16 points with four rebounds and an assist while those two were the only Knights to finish in double-digit scoring.

Williamson has now scored at least 20 points in six of her last 8 games and is now averaging 16.9 points/game. It was also Williamson's fourth game with at least 30 points this season.

Junior forward Ellen Dukes (JR/Augusta, GA) then added eight points and a team-high 11 rebounds to go along with three assists, two blocks, and two steals as she posted a solid game. Freshman forward Kayla Smith (FR/Lynchburg, VA) also added 8 points with two steals and 3 rebounds.

SAU falls to 5-18 overall and 2-16 in the conference with the loss while Bryan improves to 12-12 overall and 10-7 in the AAC.

SAU will next be in action when they return home to host Truett-McConnell (Ga.) on Wednesday at 5:30 PM.
