BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The St. Andrews University women's basketball team dropped their conference game to Union College (Ky.) 100-52 on the road Wednesday evening as they played another undermanned game in 2017.

Union outscored SAU 30-18 in the first quarter went on to lead 65-26 at halftime shooting 64 percent and holding SAU to 36 percent shooting.

The Knights then came out stronger in the third holding Union to just 17 points and 42 shooting as SAU shot 37 percent for the half. Union, however, outscored SAU 35-26 in the half to take the win.

Freshmen Victoria Washington (FR/Fredericksburg, VA) led the Knights offensively with 17 points (4 of 10 from three), three rebounds, a block and three steals. Junior guard Taylor Sehm-Crowley (JR/Concord, NC) and sophomore guard Kelsey Houser (SO/Connelly Springs, NC) also finished in double-figure scoring adding 16 and 13 points respectively. Houser shot 3 of 6 from behind the arc along with a team-high and season-best five assists and a steal. Houser is now leading SAU in three-point shooting for the season at 44 percent.

Junior forward Ellen Dukes (JR/Augusta, GA) then contributed nine rebounds (three offensive), five points, and a team-best three steals with a block to lead SAU defensively. Dukes has now totaled ten steals over her last four games. Senior guard Kayla Johnson (SR/Greensboro, NC) also added four rebounds, three assists and one steal in the loss while freshman forward Kayla Smith (FR/Lynchburg, VA) also added six rebounds defensively.

SAU falls to 5-15 overall and 2-13 in the conference with the loss while Union improves to 14-8 overall and 8-7 in the AAC.

St. Andrews will next return home on Saturday at 12 PM to host Point University (Ga.) as they begin a stretch of five home games over their final eight games to finish the year.
