Laurinburg, NC- The St. Andrews University volleyball team knew that they had beaten Morris College (SC) before so they made sure that they would put on a good showing for the home fans that came out to support the Knights by wearing pink for breast cancer awareness month.
The Lady Knights played extremely well in their "hot pink" jerseys throughout the match and went on to rout Morris 3-0 Tuesday night for their fourth win of the season in the "DIG for a CURE" game to support breast cancer awareness.
St. Andrews came out firing and got off to a decent enough lead where they could rest some of their starters and use their deep bench to handily beat the Hornets 25-14 in the first set.
SAU then played a competitive set with Morris as some Knight unforced errors led to a close set before St. Andrews pulled away late to take the second set 25-19.
After the break, the Lady Knights came out on fire and got off to a commanding 15-4 lead before crushing the Hornets with many impressive kills for their biggest game win this season 25-11.
