Alumni from all over the country traveled back to Laurinburg, NC to meet up with old friends and relive their college days last weekend Sept. 28-29.  The weekend started off with the 1st Annual St. Andrews Baseball Alumni Golf Tournament on Friday at Deercroft Country Club and concluded with the Alumni Baseball Game Saturday afternoon.

The Knights coaching staff would like to extend a well deserved thank you for all the folks involved in making the 1st Annual St. Andrews Baseball Alumni Golf Tournament a huge success.  Special thanks go out to the organizers of the tournament, Daniel Russell, Bert Gore, Dustin Maitland and Ricky Bartle.

"These four alumni organized one of the best 1st annual golf tournaments I've ever been involved with," says Head Coach Drew Roberts.

The 1st Annual St. Andrews Alumni Golf Tournament was held not only to recognize the many alumni that shared their experiences together in college at St. Andrews, but to also remember our fallen teammates who have passed in the recent years.  The tournament was held in honor of two members of the St. Andrews Family, former player Chuck Nelson, and daughter, Claire, of former player Kevin Ratliff.

The golf tournament was followed with the annual Alumni Baseball Game where the current Knights players play the Alumni in a nine inning game.

"The turnout was great this year, we had around 30 Alumni come back to participate in the game resulting in a great experience for them and our current players.  I love seeing the support from Alumni it helps show the current players what being a St. Andrews Knight means to them, "said Coach Roberts.
