Greensboro, NC—The St. Andrews Cross Country teams were undermanned Saturday at the Hagan Stone Classic, but they still had very good individual results as two runners placed in the top 17 of their respective races.

Sophomore Tyler Beaver finished 17th in the men's 8k (5 miles) with a time of 28:35 while freshman Kaitlyn Stempien crossed the finish line in 15th with a time of 20:49 in the women's 5K (3.2 miles).

Freshman Cannon Heath then placed 60th for the men out of 135 runners with a time of 30:42.

In the women's race junior Karlee Arnold came in 65th with a time of 24:00 flat while Francoise Douala placed 78th at 25:46 and Claire Pollard finishing behind her at 81st with a time of 26:11 in the 114 women field.

While the women did not have a true team score, they finished just outside the top ten in the 14 team standings.

The Knight harriers will next take the course in 2 weeks on October 20 as they compete in the Sand Shark Invitational, hosted by USC-Beaufort in Beaufort, SC at 9 am.
