Mission Statement

St. Andrews Athletic Training is charged with providing exceptional healthcare to the over 325 student-athletes participating in the 20 NAIA sponsored sports at the University. The athletic training facility is located in the PE Center. The training room is fully equipped with all the necessary equipment including modalities, a whirlpools, six treatment tables, and three taping stations.

What is an Athletic Trainer?

According to the National Athletic Trainers Association – Board of Certification: Certified Athletic Trainers are medical professionals who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to athletes and others who are engaged in everyday physical activities. Athletic Trainers are recognized by AMA (American Medical Association) as an allied health care profession since 1990.
